APNIC是亚太网络信息中心的英文简称，是世界四大区域性互联网注册管理机构之一，负责向亚太互联网社区提供必不可少的资源分配和注册服务。 APNIC是一个非营利的会员机构，由会员通过开放民主的参与过程，决定机构的政策和方向。APNIC的使命声明："应对亚太地区重要互联网资源分配中面临的挑战"

APNIC作为亚太网络小组(APNG)的一个项目成立。
1994
IANA授权APNIC开始在其区域内分配资源。
1996
APNIC帮助创办了亚太区域互联网运行技术会议APRICOT。现在，该会议是网络运行者和决策者的主要区域性会议。
1998 APNIC从原先位于东京的总部搬迁到澳大利亚布里斯班。搬迁有助于APNIC增加员工和资源，满足对服务的持续增长的需求。
1999 APNIC开始在本区域内为主机主(hostmaster)工作人员开办培训课程。同年，APNIC与RIN、RIPE NCC密切合作，推出IPv6地址服务。
1999 - 2000
APNIC在运作的头一年就向ICANN地址支持组织(ASO)提供秘书处服务。这一支持只是APNIC与其他RIR密切合作、重新塑造新的互联网管理场景的一个方面。

APNIC首次独立举办了为期三天的开放政策会议。

APNIC会员类别得到扩展，允许非资源型的准会员和其他会员层面存在。
2002
APNIC推出会员服务帮助台，延长服务时间，向会员提供所有查询所需的单一接触点。
